The Learning Program “Fostering and Managing Blue Growth Potential in the Mediterranean” is available online until 29th September 2022.
The exploitation of marine bio-resources and their bioproducts can enable the creation of novel products and processes aiming to address global challenges and needs in the food, energy and health sectors.
The seventh module of the Interreg Academy's Learning Programme #05 “Fostering and Managing Blue Growth potential in the Mediterranean” is dedicated on blue bioeconomy and biotechnology. General concepts of blue biotechnologies are presented as well as the most promising applications in the sector. In addition, the module explains how marine bio-resources from aquaculture can be part of the circular economy.
By following this module, students can see outcomes reached by B-Blue and BLUE BIO MED Interreg Euro-MED Programme Strategic projects, as for instance the challenge driven transnational policy experiments realized in the context of BLUE BIO MED project.
